Toulouse

A city of 450 000 inhabitants, capital of the Midi-Pyrénées region, Toulouse is located on the banks of the Garonne, close to the Pyrénées mountains and halfway between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.

It is well known for some remarkable monuments and some worldwide famous products, companies and high technologies industries (Concorde, Airbus, Spot, Aerospatiale, etc.) This is the top aeronautics complex in Europe.

By Plane

Toulouse Blagnac International Airport is 15 min away from downtown. There is a shuttle(1h30mn) from Paris to Toulouse every 30 minutes.

An Airport shuttle every 20 minutes connects the Airport with the downtown and deserves 4 stops: Congress Center Pierre Baudis (stop Compans Caffarelli) – Jeanne d'Arc place – Allées Jean-Jaurès – and its terminus near the Matabiau Railway Station.

at the Château de Merville

Located some 20 km North of Toulouse, the Château de Merville is a unique testimony of the architecture and the art of gardens in the middle of the 18th century in Midi-Pyrénées region.
The garden of boxtree, the main curiosity of the park, with 6 km of alleys is the largest in Europe.

A transfer bus will be organized betweeb Pierre Baudis Congress centre and Château de Merville.
Departure: 6:30 pm, meeting point: Pierre Baudis Congress Centre.
Return to Toulouse (Congress centre) from 10 pm.

The symposium includes the 17th Transport and Air Pollution symposium and the 3rd Environment and Transport Symposium. Both will consider all relevant aspects of the impact of transport on air pollution and on the environment considering both local and global aspects.
The International Symposium Transport and Air Pollution has been held since 1986 in Avignon and Reims (France), Graz (Austria) and Boulder (USA). The International Symposium Environment and Transport was held in 2003 in Avignon and in 2006 in Reims (France).

La conférence ETTAP 2009 regroupe le 17e colloque Transports et Pollution de l'air et le 3e colloque Environnement et Transports. Elle traite conjointement de l'impact du transport sur la pollution atmosphérique et l'environnement ; elle prend en compte les aspects globaux et locaux de ces impacts.
Le colloque Transports et Pollution de l'air a été initié en 1986 à Avignon, en France. Il a depuis été organisé à Reims, en France, à Graz, en Autriche et à Boulder aux USA. Le colloque Environnement et Transports a été créé en 2003 à Avignon également et il s'est tenu à Reims en 2006. Le dernier colloque a eu lieu à Graz les 16 et 17 juin 2008. Les conférences Transports et Pollution de l'air ont pour objectif de faire l'état de l'art des connaissances scientifiques actuelles sur la pollution de l'air induite par les transports.
